Get Unstuck. Move Forward.

I bring something different to college planning and career transitions: the investigative research skills of an academic, the experience of a seasoned college and career advisor, and the strategic messaging know-how of a longtime communication professor. With 25 years in higher education, you get tangible pathway options in one place—from an insider who understands the full picture.

Everyone Else Seems to Have a Plan

You Can Too.

When you're choosing a college, figuring out your career, or making a professional change, you may feel overwhelmed—unsure where to begin.

You aren't alone. High school seniors, college graduates, and professionals of all ages feel the same way.

That's where I come in—but I work differently.

I do strategic diagnostic work to understand your background and goals, then investigative research to find what actually exists and what's viable.

For academic planning: I research all options that fit—universities, community colleges, trade programs, certificates, online degrees. I contact faculty and program directors for insider answers.

For career transitions: I research industries and related job titles, gauge labor markets, and pull actual open roles.

For funding: I find resources you may not know exist—Worker Retraining, Prior Learning Assessment, credential stacking.

As a communication professor, I know how to re-story your background—whether you have decades of experience or are just starting out.

You get deliverables, not suggestions: pathway reports with researched options, timelines, professional documents, and tools to continue the work yourself.

I'm also honest. If a path has limited prospects, I'll tell you—but I won't leave you stuck. I'll research viable alternatives.

With 25 years in higher education, I've guided hundreds through academic and career transitions. Whether you're just starting out or starting over, you don't have to figure this out alone.

My Background

I'm a 21-year tenured professor and advisor at Highline College who also works with a caseload of academic and career advisees. Previously, I taught at Darton College (University of Georgia system) for four years. In this role, I was recognized as Advisor of the Year.

I've been through major transitions myself—I'm a first-generation college student who dropped out and fell into the wrong career before finding my way back. I started this practice to provide the strategic, research-intensive support I wish I'd had.
